Moolooloo Thomas

This is a poem about an imaginary friend, I found among some pages in old Terry's notebooks, I don't think he'll mind if I share it.

MOOLOOLOO THOMAS

Was that you Henry, did you do that?

Well was it you Millie, did you do that?

Not me said Henry and not Millie too,

Not us, we didn’t do it ------------- really

And no way that it was you!

You know that it is Thomas

When little things get lost

You know that it is Thomas

That’s making our Dad cross

Moolooloo Thomas

Always out of sight

Moolooloo Thomas

When things aren’t right

Come on Millie, you have to go to school

Come on Henry for you it’s Kinder time

Some days mum thinks she will lose her mind

And when things go wrong in school

And then in Kinder when Henry plays the fool

You know that it was Thomas

When little things get lost

You know that it is Thomas

That’s making our Mum cross

Moolooloo Thomas

Always out of sight

Moolooloo Thomas

When things aren’t right

And now the day has past us and we’ve had tea

And as for Thomas, well he has had the blame

For all today’s mistakes and yesterday was the same

Moolooloo Thomas the one we do not see

But like all kids when the day is done

Thomas makes his presence felt, he has one last run

You know that it was Thomas

When little things get lost

You know that it is Thomas

That’s making our Mum & Dad cross

Moolooloo Thomas

He’s always out of sight

Moolooloo Thomas

When things aren’t right

And Henry now is sleeping and Millie’s day is done

Moolooloo Thomas is nowhere to be found

No more of mum’s dishes to be dropped today

No more picking up scattered toys no more noise

But it starts again tomorrow when Thomas is around

You know that it was Thomas

When little things get lost

You know that it is Thomas

That’s making our Mum cross

Moolooloo Thomas

Always out of sight

Moolooloo Thomas

When things aren’t right

You know that it was Thomas

When little things get lost

You know that it is Thomas

That’s making our Mum cross

Moolooloo Thomas

Always out of sight

Moolooloo Thomas

When things aren’t right
